Entry Requirements

Students must be 18 years or older and will be required to demonstrate the required level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills.

Whilst there is no formal pre-requisite required to enroll into this qualification, it is beneficial for students to have some relevant industry experience working in a managerial position within the workplace. This may have been obtained through formal and/or informal training, work experience and life experience.

Entrants to this program will undergo a Pre-qualification Interview to determine suitability and assess current knowledge and experience, to ensure that this is the right qualification relative to your career progression.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment is offered to students that can demonstrate a minimum of two (2) years industry experience. The RPL Assessment process is undertaken by a qualified industry experienced Trainer & Assessor who will measure your prior knowledge and experience against the performance criteria of the qualification. As a result, you may not need to complete the entire qualification if you already possess some of the criteria taught within this qualification. If you apply for RPL and your application is successful you could:

  • Reduce or eliminate the need to undertake training in skills and knowledge you already have
  • Save time by reducing the number of classes that you will need to attend
  • Complete your qualification in a shorter time
  • Advance to a higher-level qualification in a shorter time, if desired. ]

Students may be eligible to apply for Credit Transfer by providing evidence of previous studies where there is equivalence to the units of competency within the qualification. For more information please refer to the Fresh Start Education Student Handbook.
